ABA PREPARATORY
The preparatory courses are fundamental for all future first-year students who are about to embark on their design academic journey. These courses will allow them to gain fundamental notions in free-hand drawing and the use of the Adobe Suite.
Free-hand drawing is an essential skill for anyone studying design as it improves your ability of representing ideas and concepts in an immediate and personal way. This course focuses on different aspects among which:
● Drawing basics: study of line work, geometric shapes and proportions;
● Perspective: useful techniques for representing depth of scale and tri-dimensional spaces on a bi-dimensional surface.
Mastering the Adobe Suit is fundamental for all design students as it is one of the most widely used softwares in the industry. This preparatory course focuses on:
● Adobe Photoshop: photographic retouch, image manipulation and digital composition creation
● Adobe Illustrator: creation of vector illustrations, logos and scalable graphics
● Adobe InDesign: page layout and editorial design for the creation of flyers, magazines and any other printable creation.
