TWO YEARS PROGRAM IN ARTISTIC TATTOOING

Tattooing is far more than simple skin decoration—it is a powerful and ancient form of artistic expression. At ABA UD, we believe that tattoos speak their own visual language, conveying identity, emotion, and personal vision. This belief led to the creation of MITA, the first artistic tattooing program in Italy, launched ten years ago.

MITA is a two-year program that prepares students for a professional career in tattoo art. Combining technical skills with creative and cultural education, the course encourages each student to find their unique voice and develop a personal, recognizable style. Tattooing becomes not just a profession, but a form of living art.
To celebrate a decade of success, MITA has been renewed and expanded. The program is now structured into four key areas: tattoo lab (focusing on technique and style), business training, practical internships, and artistic development through contemporary art languages. This multidimensional approach ensures a solid and complete training path.

Teaching Methodology
One of the most innovative aspects of MITA is the opportunity for eligible students to simultaneously enroll in the Bachelor of Arts in Painting and Visual Arts at ABA UD. Artistic courses within MITA contribute to academic credits valid for the BA degree, or for further studies at other institutions.
Through MITA, we form tattoo artists who are not only technically skilled, but also artistically and intellectually prepared—professionals ready to transform their passion into a meaningful and lasting career.
