Alessio Princic

Alessio Princic was born in Udine on 9 March, 1958. In 1982 he graduated in Architecture at the University of Ljubljana (SLO), Faculty of Architecture. His graduation thesis on typology and identity of the village of Sclaunicco (“Tipologija in identiteta Slapnicka”) was awarded the “Preseren Students Prize”. From 1983 to 1992  he collaborated  with arch. Federico Marconi in Udine and arch. Pier Guido Fagnoni in Firenze, (ITA), obtaining in the meanwhile his Master’s Degree in Architecture, from the University of Venezia (ITA), Faculty of Architecture. In 1990 he started his own architecture firm in Udine and began working as a freelancer. He continued his studies at the University of Ljubljana obtaining his PhD from the Faculty of Architecture in 2000 where he later became assistant professor in 2005 and then associate professor in 2010. Since 2008 he has been Associate Professor of Architectural Project/Design, Architecture Faculty in Maribor (SLO) where he has obtained the professorship of architectural design studios for second and last year students. He is currently Professor of Architectural Project/Design at the Architecture Faculty in Ljubljana. He has taken part in international design workshops and given lectures at the universities of Milano, Trento, Ljubljana, Trieste, Venezia. In 2015 he partecipated in the national meeting ‘Architecture in 10 Points’ organized by ‘Ordine degli architetti of Messina’ in Messina and Caserta . Since 1992 his works have been showed in collective exhibition (Pirano, Celovec, Udine, Ljubljana, Trento, Eisenstadt, Treviso, Milano, San Vito al Tagliamento, Oderzo, Ferrara, Pescara, Berlino, Madrid, Praga, ecc.) and personal exhibition (Ljubljana e Vrhnika).
