Even though eggcups roots are in the Mediterranean area, I preferred to act on the imagination triggered by the object: I referred to French cuisine, moving on a sensory rather than on a geo-historical coherence.
Col roulé means turtleneck sweater, a piece of clothing that keeps your neck covered: it resembles the typical shape of the eggcup, that seems to wrap around the egg as if it were a head.
